The American
Dream A Home of Her Own Dolly is a single mother with five children, ages 11 -2. She and her children were living in a two-bedroom, second story, rundown apartment. It was all they could afford. Housing conditions were quite poor. In fact, the family was overcrowded - so much so that Dolly used a small closet for a second bedroom. Life wasn't always like this. Dolly grew up in a safe and loving home, knowing a good "upper middle class" existence. On her own, she remembers having a good credit history, money in the bank, and financial solvency. When she married and began having children, things changed. Through great determination, her faith and some extended family support, Dolly began to turn her life around. She slowly mended the family's credit history, while managing her household on a very limited budget. She became mother and father to five children. At the same time, Dolly reentered the work force after eleven years. Today, Dolly and her children enjoy a lovely home of their own, large enough to comfortable accommodate their needs. The family is stable and thriving. Dolly says that it "gives her great satisfaction to provide for her children and herself in a way that they have deserved for so long." HomeFront agrees!
