What are the Income Guidelines? Income guidelines for 2000-2001 were the Federal HUD, Section 8 Income Limits. Total GROSS household income shall not exceed 80% of the median income as listed.
How Will Applicants Be Selected? A committee will select the most qualified applicants based on need, income and readiness to become a home owner. AFFORDABILITY is a major consideration. Adequate income, limited debts, and bank financing are key factors for program participation. ALL applicants will be required to participate in a certified home buyers' education workshop. What Type of Home is Eligible? Washington County existing housing stock. Suggested criteria for selecting a home would include homes built since 1950 and requiring limited repairs.
